Mr. Charles Douglas McKinney

Charles Douglas McKinney, 63, of 525 North Little River Road, Salem, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Transylvania County, NC, Mr. McKinney was the son of Dorothy Elizabeth Palmer McKinney Justice and late Charles Lewis McKinney. He worked for McKinney Tree Huggers and attended Whitewater Baptist Church. Mr. McKinney is survived by his brother: Johnny McKinney (Jennifer); nieces: Angel McKinney and Amber McKinney; and nephews: Jeremy McKinney and Jessi McKinney. In addition to his father, Mr. McKinney is preceded in death by two of his brothers: Carl Nelson McKinney and David McKinney. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Whitewater Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Sunday, prior to the service, at Whitewater Baptist Church. Flowers are accepted. The family is at their respective homes.
