Mr. Doyle Elton Pierce

May 15, 1946 - September 14, 2020

Doyle Elton Pierce, 74, husband of Dorothy Pierce, of 750 Mourning Dove Lane, Seneca, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020, at Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Seneca, SC, Mr. Pierce was the son of the late William Claude and Fiones Lee Holland Pierce. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and prior to retirement, he last worked for Trehel as project superintendent. Mr. Pierce was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, Mr. Pierce is survived by his sons: Jared Adam Pierce of Walhalla, SC and Gregory Alan Pierce of Easley, SC; daughter: Donna Carol Moore of Liberty, SC; step-children: Melissa Cardwell of Ware Shoals, SC, Jethro Judge of Uganda, Princess Jemimah Pierce of Uganda, Apollo Abigail of Uganda, Christine Heath of Dothan, AL, Rick Ackerman of Panama, FL and Russell Ackerman of Marianna, FL; brother: Frank Pierce; sisters: Linda Albertson, Sandra Lavallee, Bobbie Dale Miles, Patricia Roach, Gwen Hyde and Demaris Rogers; nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his brothers: Edgar Pierce and William C. Pierce, Jr.; sister: Jonell Long; and granddaughter: Savannah Jean Pierce. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 20, 2020, at Pierce Family Cemetery in Seneca, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Davenport Funeral Home . Flowers are accepted. The family is at their respective homes.
