Mrs. Evelyn Hattie Queen Ramey

Evelyn Hattie Queen Ramey, 90, wife of the late Robert Leroy Ramey, Sr., of Mountain Rest, passed away, Monday, March 29, 2021, at Cottingham Hospice House. A native of Mountain Rest, SC, Mrs. Ramey was the daughter of the late James Logan and Bennie Ollie Bottoms Nicholson Queen. She was a member of the Mountain Rest Community Club and of Mountain Rest Baptist Church. Mrs. Ramey is survived by her son: Bobby Ramey (Louisa); daughters: Helen R. Carroll (Wayne) and Betty L. Ramey; grandchildren: Caroline Ramey Raspotnik (Mark), Lucas Ramey (Leslie), Seth Carroll (Lauren) and Cody Padgett; great-grandchildren: Thomas and Libbie Carroll; sister-in-law: Sue Nicholson; numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ramey was preceded in death by her brothers: Zeke, John, Crate, Estee and Wade Nicholson and Ray Queen; and sisters: Irene Nicholson Marsengill and Lillian Queen Emerson. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
