Mrs. Hazel Bryson Patton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hazel Bryson Patton, 90, wife of the late Joe Henry Patton, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at her home, surrounded by family. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Patton was the daughter of the late Harvey Randolph Bryson and Elrie Elizabeth Brown Bryson. She worked in the Jantzen distribution center and was a member for 68 years at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Mrs. Patton is survived by her daughter: Sandra Alice Patton Smith (Dennis); sisters Bobbie Jean Wood and Nancy Regina; grandchildren: Chad Smith and Joey Smith (Hilary); and great-grandchildren: Reagan Smith, Kane Smith and Case Smith. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Patton is preceded in death by her brothers: Harold Johnson Bryson and Rev. Edward Bryson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Davenport Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Boggs officiating. The burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hospice of the Foothills: Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC, 29672, or Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1405 Ebenezer Rd., West Union, SC, 29696.
