Mrs. Mary Louise Stone Crooks Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Louise Stone Crooks, 76, wife of the late Boyd Dewitt Crooks, of Seneca, SC, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at her home. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Crooks was the daughter of the late Feltz and Odessa Gilreath Stone. She was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Crooks enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, and cooking. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Crooks is survived by a son: Christopher Crooks of Seneca; daughters: Laura Walters (Keith) of Walhalla and Deborah Fricks (Jimmy) of Seneca; brothers: Harry Stone (Donna); sisters: Evanell Pelfrey (Billy), Mildred Evans (Bill), and Gail Munger; grandchildren: Joseph B. Crooks (Ashley), Matthew R. Crooks (Jennifer), Cody B. Crooks (Jessie), Samantha Hudson (Jake), Summer Fricks, Erica Broome, April Sheriff (Charles); and great-grandchildren: Paisley Crooks, Jaina Hudson, Lauren Broome, Mason Sheriff and Savannah Sheriff. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Crooks is preceded in death by a son: James "Peanut" Crooks; brother: Wendell Stone; sister: Ellen Cox; and brother-in-law: Andy Munger. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted. The family is at the home.
