Mr. Robert Brent Call

February 5, 1968 - May 31, 2021

Robert Brent Call, 53, husband of Valerie Jackson Call for just over 16 years, of 115 Cody Lane, West Union, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 31, 2021, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Gastonia, NC, Mr. Call was the son of Jean Doby Call of Winter Haven, FL and the late Roy Weston Call. He worked as a project manager at Wacovia, now known as Wells Fargo and was of the Christian faith. He was a 45-year survivor of bladder cancer and had been fighting colorectal cancer for 5 years and dialysis for 3 1/2 years. He did most all of it the way he wanted. Even though there was no cancer evident (but was trying to make a presence as his CEA had been rising) he refused to give in to dialysis one final time. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Call is survived by his brothers: Chris Call of Bremerton, WA, Monty Call (Jennifer) of Charlotte, NC and Shannon Call (DeeDee) of Warrenton, VA; sister: Renee Archambult (Dave) of Trinity, FL; brother-in-law: Stacy Jackson (Stephanie) Walhalla, SC; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with visitation following the service.
