Mr. Ronald Darius Mattox

Ronald Darius Mattox, 77, husband of Patricia Latham Mattox, of Seneca, SC, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Durham, NC, Mr. Mattox was the son of the late Redfield High and Louise Council Mattox. He was an Art Teacher for the Anderson County School District 2. Upon retirement from the public school system, he taught art at Oconee Christian Academy. He attended Seneca Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. Mattox is survived by a son: Ronald A. Mattox (Sandra); daughter: Katherine A. Mattox; a brother: John Thomas Mattox; and grandchildren: Ansley S. Mattox and Claire E. Mattox. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM, Saturday at Davenport Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tribble Center Special Needs Foundation, 116 South Cove Road, Seneca, SC 29672. The family is at their respective homes.
