Mrs. Vernell Bessie Nichols Hall

Vernell Bessie Nichols Hall, of 312 Burnt Tanyard Rd., West Union, wife of the late William Harvey Hall, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Born in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late J.B. and Ada Isabelle Free Nichols. Everyone loved her smile. Vernell was a Homemaker and she loved to keep her home and yard clean. She loved the Lord, family and her fur babies. She is of the Church of God Faith. Surviving are daughter: Donna Hall of the home; son-in-law: Gordon Douglas James of Mountain Rest, SC; grandchildren: Christen Stewart (Jeff) of Mountain Rest, SC, Hollie Lester (Charles) of Williamsburg, KY, and Nicolas Hall of the home; great-grandchildren: Caleb Stewart of Clemson, SC, Andrew Stewart (Emily) of Central, SC, Tori Lester of Williamsburg, KY, Brendan Lester of Williamsburg, KY; and sister: Edna Chapman of Seneca, SC. In addition to her husband, Vernell was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Sharon James; sister: Lois Burgess; brothers: Alfred Nichols and Junior Nichols. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 3, 2022 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Monday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted. The family is at the home.
