Ms. Antonya Michelle Moore

Antonya Michelle Moore, 54, of Seneca, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Cottingham Hospice House surrounded by family. A native of Seneca, SC, Michelle was the daughter of the late Thomas Anthony Moore and Gracie Manley Moore Hunter. She was a member of Seneca Baptist Church. She graduated Seneca High School with the great class of 1987 forming lifelong friendships. Michelle attended the University of South Carolina and earned her bachelor's degree from Clemson in Psychology and Political Science. Michelle used her creative gifts throughout her career as an Interior Designer, Event Coordinator, Florist, Restaurant Owner, and Caterer. While living in Charleston, SC, she enjoyed managing a very successful restaurant and catering business. Michelle truly lived life to the fullest and was known for hosting marvelous parties for family and friends. Travel was a favorite pastime of hers and she enjoyed a variety of destinations from the mountains to the seas, preferably in her convertible. From her mother's piano playing to attending countless concerts of her favorite musicians, especially Stevie Nicks, music brought much joy to Michelle's life. Although she never had children of her own, she cherished her nephews, Zak and Christian along with doting on her granddaughter, Adelynn Rose, who was the sunshine in "M" and Papa's life. Michelle loved BIG and if you were fortunate to know her, you experienced her southern charm and gracious bossiness. A natural leader, Michelle was the life of any and every party and would fight tooth and nail for beloved family and friends. Michelle is survived by her sisters: Stacia Hunter of Seneca, SC, Heather Moore of Seneca, SC, and Susan Fassino of Seneca, SC; stepfather: Alvin Edison Hunter of Seneca, SC; fiancée Donny Gosnell of Seneca, SC and granddaughter: Adelynn Rose Gosnell of Westminster, SC along with a multitude of friends. In addition to her parents, Michelle was preceded in death by her adored nephews: Zakahry Hunter of Seneca, SC and Christian Burkhart of Lexington, SC and grandparents: Ralph and Grace Manley and Clyde and Mallie Moore both of Seneca, SC. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2023, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2023, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted and per Michelle's wishes white arrangements are requested.
