Mr. Dale Kelley

Today is a bittersweet day for the Kelley Family. Our patriarch, Dale, has completed the tasks Our Lord sent him here to do and has been called home to collect his reward in glory. Included in this reward will be a reunion with his father & mother, Ed & Ollie Belle Kelley and brother, Steve Kelley. This is a beautiful gift that God has bestowed on Dale and for this we are thankful. We will all miss him terribly but he has given us the tools we need to carry on until we meet him again. Let it be known to all, Dale was received with full honors to his heavenly home on Saturday, May 14th, 2016. His life-long love was his family, from the love of his life Sherry to his latest great-grandchild Aidan. He loved them all with all of his heart for they were not only his family but also his hunting and hiking buddies. He enjoyed the thrill of the hunt, everything from rabbit and squirrel to deer and wild hog. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a proud patriot. One of his greatest joys and accomplishments in addition to his family was being a Deacon at Boones Creek Baptist Church. The thing that would mean the most to him now is for his family to keep growing and loving as he would have, with all his heart and soul. Visitation for all of his loving family and his so many great friends, will be at Davenport Funeral home on Monday, May 16th, 2016 from 6pm - 8pm. Funeral service to be held at Boones Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 17th at 4pm. Burial will follow at Boones Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the surviving family: his loving wife of 43 years, Sherry; his daughter, Laurie Kelley Carlton, whom he chose; his son, Steven Dale Kelley, with whom he also shared his name; and his youngest daughter, Nicole Kelley Nalley, who was his favorite surprise of all time. His grandchildren, whom he took great pride in, in order of age: Erica Crooks, Nick Crowe, Justin Kelley, Tessa Kelley, Jacob Nalley and Ryan Nalley. His great-grandchildren that brought him such joy: Dalen Kelley, Brayleigh Crowe and Aiden Kelley. Also surviving siblings: brothers: Eddie Kelley (Debbie), Keith Kelley (Wanda), Gary Kelley (Donice) and sister Janice Giles (Dennis) all of Tamassee. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Boones Creek Baptist Church. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. (Genesis 28:15)
