Mrs. Glendel Cross Wyatt

Glendel Cross Wyatt of Seneca, wife of the late William “Bill” Ford Wyatt, passed away on the evening of Friday October 14, 2022 in her home at the age of 81. Born in Anderson County, SC, Mrs. Wyatt was the daughter of the late Joe and Annie Bell Cross. Mrs. Wyatt, more commonly known as Nannie, was above all a loving mother to her three children, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and the countless young lives she touched during her 30+ years owning a childcare center. Each of these lives was and continues to be made richer by her endless care and love. Mrs. Wyatt was quick to show an interest in others and especially loved to hear more of the latest news over a game of dominos from the other lovely ladies of the 313 Social Club. Her love for the story of others could be seen in her talents as a doll artist and avid collector, bringing to life and giving personality to her intricate creations. Mrs. Wyatt was a selfless giver, always looking out for the needs of others. She never needed an occasion to give to those around her, especially if the gift was an unbelievable deal from her frequent trips to the local flea markets and thrift stores. Hers was a life that exemplified the immeasurable riches a person can gain from continually giving away more of themselves. Her warm spirit and joyful smile continue to live in the memories of her adoring friends and family. Mrs. Wyatt is survived by her sons: Mitchell Wyatt (Mary) of Irmo, SC and Russell Wyatt (Jill) of Taylors, SC; daughter: Kellie Edgar (Jeff) of Seneca, SC; brother: Pete Cross of Seneca, SC; sister: Joann Fayonsky (Leon) of Greer, SC; eight grandchildren: Beau (Samantha), Jacob (Michelle), Abram (London), Alex, Joseph, Adam, Greer, and Emily; and three great-grandchildren: Jocelyn, Colton, and one on the way. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Full Gospel Temple with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service, at Full Gospel Temple. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Shriners Children’s Hospital: 950 W Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605. The family is at their respective homes.
