Mrs. Grace Louise Snelgrove Edgar

Grace Louise Snelgrove Edgar, 99, wife of the late Frank C. Edgar, of 36 Ames Street, Seneca, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018, at the residence of her son, Ted Edgar. A native of Seneca, SC, Mrs. Edgar was the daughter of the late Jesse Clifton (JC) and Mattie Victoria Johnston Snelgrove. Mrs. Edgar was a member of Full Gospel Temple in Seneca where she was the Sunday School teacher to Pre-Schoolers for 58 years and was a member of the Utica Homemaker’s Extension Club. Mrs. Edgar is survived by four sons: Richard Edgar (Sandra) of Hanahan, SC; Ted Edgar (Vera) of Seneca; Dan Edgar (Evelyn) of Woodstock, GA; and Don Edgar (Robin) of Middleburg, FL; a sister: Judith Cannon Stamey of Liberty, SC; and eleven grandchildren: Ric Edgar (Jean) of North Charleston, SC; Melissa Hargett (Greg) of Brandon, MS; Brian Edgar of North Charleston, SC; Tammie Loveland (Skimmer) of Orlando, FL; Jeff Edgar (Kellie) of Seneca; Pamela Crain (Tim) of Seneca; Anthony Edgar (Elisabeth) of Lebanon, OH; Jessica Morris (Dace) of New York, NY; Jared Edgar of San Francisco, CA; Christopher Edgar (Caylyn) of Middleburg, FL; and Brendon Edgar of Middleburg FL. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren: Ricsha Kinard (David) of Summerville, SC; Ryan Edgar (Nikki) of Los Angeles, CA; Micah Edgar (Erin) of Charleston, SC; Kalena Doo of Charleston, SC; Haley Hargett of Brandon, MS; Maury Loveland and Cody Loveland of Orlando, FL; Miles Loveland of Australia; Mitchell Loveland of Orlando, FL; Beau Edgar (Samantha) of Seneca; Jacob Edgar of Greenville; Abram Edgar of Nashville, TN; Joseph Edgar of Seneca; Emily Grace Edgar of Seneca; Dennis Kirkland of Middleburg, FL; Morgan Edgar; Mabry Edgar; Lucas Edgar; and Jules Edgar all of Lebanon, OH; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren: Allie Grace, Hunley, Raley, Jaslyn, Jordan, Frankie, Abbie, Titus, Veda, Benjamin, Asher, Jocelyn, and Colton. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Edgar was preceded in death by a son: Marion Lucius Edgar; two daughters: Judith Diane and Martha Lucille Edgar; a brother: Ralph Snelgrove; a sister: Glyn Kzensak; and a great-grandchild: Brandon Doo. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Full Gospel Temple with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:00 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2018 prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Playground Fund of Full Gospel Temple, 102 Winding Creek Lane, Seneca, SC 29672.
