Mrs. Jenine Mary Baldus

Jenine Baldus, 91, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024, in the home that she and her late husband built. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Walhalla, SC. Jenine was born on February 29th in Sisseton, ND, graduated High School in New Ulm, MN, and received training to be a Registered Nurse in Mankato, MN. She was married to Dwight Baldus for 65 years, the man of her dreams & in her own words “the man God made for her”. She enjoyed sewing outfits for her daughters and herself for special occasions and crafts like crocheting and cross-stitch. Her interests were Family, Boating, Fishing, Camping, Cooking, and taking care of her husband. She was very active in all the churches they attended. While attending St. John's Lutheran Church she was involved in Lucy Klaren Circle, Prime Timers, Altar Guild, Funeral Service Receptions, Offering Counter and Biggerstaff Retreat. Jenine cared deeply for her family, neighbors, and church family from the many places they lived. She did this out of her loving heart and strong faith. She was always there in times of need and supported her four daughters and 10 grandchildren in all of their interests. Jenine is survived by her loving Daughters: Karen Miller (John), Debbie Ryan (Larry), Cindy Baldus, and Lori Wogan (Ron); Brother: Craig Anderson (Barbara); Brother-in-Law: John Erhke; Grandchildren: Dan Miller (Kara), Mike Miller (Anna), Lars Ryan (Kori), Greg Ryan (Jess), Erin Ryan, Eric Pierce (Antoinette), Kyle Pierce (Beth), Paul Wogan, Matt Wogan (Lakin), and Heather Wogan (Carson). Great-Grandchildren: Michaela, Gabe, Cora, Carson, Kendall, Jalen, Antwan, Ciara, Jordan, Trevor, and James. In addition, Jenine was predeceased by her loving Husband: Dwight Baldus; Parents: Elmer and Irene Anderson, Brother: Wynn Anderson; Great-Granddaughter: Genevieve Miller; and Niece: Linda Anderson. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Davenport Funeral Home, 311 SC-11, West Union, SC 29696, with a Celebration of Life following at 11:00 AM. The graveside service will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 301 W. Main St., Walhalla, SC 29691 or MSA Hospice, 1659 Sandifer Blvd., Seneca, SC 29768.
