Ms. Patrica Gail Edwards

On Sunday August 30, 2015, Patricia Gail Edwards passed from the pain and trials of life on earth to live pain free and joyfully for all eternity with her Heavenly Father, our Lord God Almighty in Heaven. Feeling the touch of loving family hands and hearing their expressions of love, Patricia passed quietly as her soul transitioned from temporary life on earth to permanent life in Heaven. Praise be to God for the life of Patricia Gail Edwards. A native of High Point, NC, Ms. Edwards is the daughter of Virgie Jackson Edwards and the late Lawrence Oliver Edwards, Sr. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in High Point, NC. In addition to her mother, Ms. Edwards is survived by a brother, Lawrence Oliver Edwards, Jr. and his wife Jane of High Point, NC and sister, Jenny Edwards Perry and her husband Eddie of Seneca, SC. She has three Nieces, one Nephew, four Great Nieces and five Great Nephews, all of whom knew her as their “Cool “Aunt. Patricia graduated from Pfeiffer College in 1976, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Economics. In 1976, Patricia was elected Homecoming Queen. Patricia`s sense of creativity and beauty, combined with her love of nature touched all who knew her. A gifted artisan, her work was always signed by her Trademark Ladybug, which became the name of a line of resin outdoor decorative and functional pieces produced by her furniture products employer. Her talent was clearly shown in the beautiful designs she brought forth into garden statues, fountains, birdbaths and other garden decorations. She was a long time employee there, progressing through management and sales jobs, finishing her career there as Director of Sales and Marketing for Craft–Tex / Ladybug. When you see flowers moving in a Spring breeze, a Sandpiper running along a beach, or a Ladybug in your garden, think of our sweet Patti. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Davenport Funeral Home, West Union, SC Flowers are accepted or, as a testament to her love of animals, memorials may be made to Oconee County Humane Society, PO Box 966, West Union, SC 29696.
