Toni Christen “Chrissy” Leigh Derrick Holland, 30, beloved wife of Mickey Holland, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital after a courageous 277-day battle with round cell undifferentiated sarcoma cancer, an extremely rare and aggressive disease. Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Chrissy was the daughter of Johelen Maria Lamb Derrick and the late Anthony Doyle Derrick. Throughout her illness, Chrissy showed extraordinary strength, grace, and selflessness. During her fight, she built a large and devoted following on social media, openly documenting her journey to raise awareness for round cell undifferentiated sarcoma cancer—a diagnosis with fewer than 200 cases ever reported worldwide. Through her transparency and determination, Chrissy helped pave the way in the name of science, contributing to a better understanding of this rare cancer and offering hope to future patients and families. Above all else, Chrissy was a devoted wife and an extraordinary mother. She is survived by her husband, Mickey Holland, and her precious children: sons Riley Allen Holland and Axel Anthony Holland, and daughter Hazel Maria Leigh Holland, who were the light of her life and the source of her unwavering strength. She is also survived by her mother, Johelen Maria Lamb Derrick; her sister, Joanna Elizabeth Derrick; and her extended family of cousins: Haley, Harley, Ronnie, Wayne, Jamie, Sarah, Amanda, Christopher, Stephanie, Jeremy, and Will. Chrissy was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Doyle Derrick; her brother, Devin Doyle Derrick; her paternal grandparents, Christopher Doyle Derrick and Annie Ruth White Derrick; and her maternal grandparents, Ronald Lamb and Judy Calcutt. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Davenport Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the Davenport Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Flowers are accepted.
