Betty R. Ables, 89, wife of the late Hugh F. Ables, of Westminster, SC, passed away at the Cottingham Hospice House on Monday, March 21, 2022. A native of Townville, SC, Mrs. Ables was the daughter of the late John and Eugenia Parks Rogers. She was a member of Seneca Baptist Church. Mrs. Ables is survived by sons: Frank Ables (Karen), Alan Ables (Frankie), and Carl Ables, all of Westminster, SC; daughter: Donna Anderson (Andy) of Anderson, SC; brother: Glenn Rogers; sister: Myra Hare; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ables is preceded in death by a daughter: Myra Dillard; brothers: Ira Rogers, Robert Rogers, and Billy Rogers; sisters: Virginia Cain, Vermel Ledford, Vera Hines, and Louise Gerrard; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Seneca Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM, Thursday at Seneca Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prisma Health Oconee Hospice of the Foothills, Cottingham House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672. The family is at their respective homes.
