Mr. Billy Gene Bowling

August 11, 1941 - April 30, 2022

Billy Gene Bowling, 80, husband of Sharon Sweares Bowling, of 316 Buchanan Trail, Seneca passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Van Lear, KY he was the son of the late Clayton and Gracie Boyd Bowling. He was a supervisor at Ford Meter Box Co. for forty-two years in Wabash, Indiana. He loved playing softball, loved biking and walking trails. He looked forward to going to church and praising the Lord. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bowling is survived by daughters: Penny Bowling of Holiday Island, AR; Pamela Tipton of Marion, IN; grandchildren: Levi Dyson (Melissa), Isaac Dyson (Amber), Micah Dyson (Kayla), Grace Case (Devin); great-grandchildren: Jacob, Bailee, Harper, Ryleigh, Chloe, Scarlett, Finnley, Asher, Aalejah Bussard, Kyle, Skylar, Mia Rose, Roman and Titus, brother: Carl Bowling of Van Lear, KY; sisters: Loretta Bowling of Grand Rapids, MI; and Ethel Mae Bowling of Wabash, IN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bowling was preceded in death by his brothers: Ottis Bowling, Marcus Bowling, Virgie Bowling, Garnett Bowling, Clifford Bowling, Clyde Bowling, Delby Bowling; sisters: Ruby Sisco, Elva Tackett, Thelma Lowe, and Alka Fannin. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Davenport Funeral Home.
