Mrs. Marian Nichols Alexander

Marian Nichols Alexander, 85, wife of the late Raymond Kay Alexander, Jr., of 1130 Cheohee Valley Road, Tamassee, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Cannon Memorial Hospital. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mrs. Alexander was the daughter of the late James Arthur Nichols and Ruby White Nichols. She was retired from Jantzen with forty years of service and was a transporter with the DAR School. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Cheohee Baptist Church. Mrs. Alexander is survived by her son: Richard K. Alexander (Donna) of Walhalla, SC; grandchildren: Greshan Charlton (Steve) of Simpsonville, SC and Kevin Alexander (Lindsay) of Tamassee, SC; great-grandchildren: Kayce Charlton, Meredith Charlton, Arden Alexander and Heston Alexander; brothers: Harold Nichols of Pickens, SC, Marshall Nichols of Gray Court, SC and James Nichols of Easley, SC; and sister: Vivian Owens of Seneca, SC. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by her brothers: Wallace Nichols and Ralph Nichols; and sisters: Gladys Chastain and Doris Ellison. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Alexander Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cheohee Baptist Church, P.O. Box 4, Tamassee, SC 29686. The family is at their respective homes.
