Mrs. Susan "Sue" Jeannette Rysinski

November 28, 1953 - April 21, 2022

Susan “Sue” Jeannette Rysinski, 68, wife of John Patrick Rysinski, of West Union, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at her home surrounded by family and friends. A native of Baltimore, MD, Sue was the daughter of the late Warren William and Nina Edith Leister Reichert. A dedicated social worker, she worked for Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT, Richmond Community Hospital, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was an active member of the St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Ridgefield, CT, Christ the King Lutheran Church in Richmond, VA, and most recently Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church in Seneca, SC. Sue will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she touched the lives of everyone she met. In addition to her husband, Sue is survived by her three children: Kristie Sittloh and her husband Deric of Charlotte, NC, James Rysinski of Greenville, SC, and Rebecca Rysinski and her husband John Nichols of Williamsburg, VA; six grandchildren: Sophia Nichols, Stella Sittloh, Brooks Sittloh, Roslyn Sittloh, George Sittloh, and Raewyn Nichols; and siblings William Reichert of Ellicott City, MD, and Charlotte Hanson of Middletown, MD. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Davenport Funeral Home at 311 South Highway 11, West Union, SC, 29696. Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church at 220 Carson Road, Seneca, SC, 29678. A reception to celebrate her life will follow from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Keowee Key Country Club at 1 Country Club Drive, Salem, SC, 29676. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church.
