Mr Forest Blaine Cromley

Forest Blaine Cromley, 70, husband of Darlene Denise Roper Fleischer Cromley, of Seneca, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at his home. Born in Warren, Ohio, Mr. Cromley was the son of Donna Jean Gill Cromley and the late John Oliver Cromley. He lived most of his life in Champion Township; and was a 1974 graduate of Champion High School in Trumbull County, OH. After high school, Blaine served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 ½ years and has since served in the Air Force Reserves until his military retirement in August 2010. Blaine’s home station for the Reserves was in Vienna, OH, where he was the Supply Superintendent. He was activated several times for Reserve duty overseas, including: serving as a supply representative in Panama in The Operation Volant Oak drug interdiction effort; serving as First Sergeant in Operation Cobra Gold and a seven-day, around-the-world flight beginning and ending in Ubon, Thailand; serving as First Sergeant in Operation Shining Hope at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany; serving as Senior Master Sergeant at Ramstein in support of Operation Joint Forge in the Balkans, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom; serving as Senior Master Sergeant at Doha, Quatar in support of Operation Enduring freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Blaine also worked for 18 years at a Kmart distribution center before working 21 years for Dillon’s Plastics in Middlefield, Geauga County, OH. Blaine’s hobbies include motorcycling, walking, running and soccer. Blaine also enjoys his evangelical service with the Christian Motorcycle Association. In December of 2015, he married Darlene and in 2022 they moved to Seneca, SC. They are members of Seneca Church of God, where they have found a wonderful church full of blessings. Along with his wife and mother, Mr. Cromley is survived by his children: Joy Ratell (Bill) of Cortland, OH, Mia Cromley (Jeremy Cutlip) of Newton Falls, OH and Jeremy Cromley (Ashley) of Boiling Springs, SC; and their mother: Karen Jean Ouelette; step-son: Christopher Fleischer of Seneca, SC; brother: Raymond Cromley of Cortland, OH; grandchildren: Austin Troyer (Sydney), Samantha Miller, Damien Miller, Gwen, Josie and Lindsay Ratell, Keegan Cromley and Emma Ratell; and great-granddaughter: Astrid Troyer. In addition to his father, Mr. Cromley was preceded in death by his sister: Vickie Herbster; and grandson: Wesley Cromley. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Seneca Church of God. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Seneca Church of God, PO Box 475, Seneca, SC 29679.
