    Russell is a native of Westminster, SC. He is the son of Larry and Carol Hendrix. Russell has been an employee of Davenport Funeral Home since 2006. He graduated from Clemson University in December of 2011 with a degree in Management. Russell is a licensed Funeral Director.

  • Mr. Christopher  Hood

    Mr. Christopher Hood Licensed Funeral Director

    Christopher Hood has been with Davenport Funeral Home since 1996. He is a licensed Funeral Director, a licensed Pre-Need Counselor and is a certified crematory operator. Chris is a Past Master (1996) of Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #92. He is a Perpetual Member and served as an officer for seventeen years. He is also a Life Member of the Clemson York Rite. Chris was born and raised in Oconee County and resides in Walhalla with his wife, Lisha and two children Kristen and Sam. His hobbies include hunting and fishing and he especially enjoys attending his children's sporting events. He is a member of Hejaz Shrine Temple, Blue Ridge Shrine Club (President 2009),Oconee Hillbilly Clan #2 and the Fifteenth District Past Masters Club.

    Mr. Donnie A. Richey Insurance Specialist

    Donnie A. Richey is a native of Walhalla and has been with Davenport Funeral Home since 2009. Donnie assists families at Davenport with their insurance claims and is a certified crematory operator.

    Donnie comes to us from Acree-Davis Funeral Home in Toccoa, Georgia where he started in 2002. He is a 1989 graduate of Walhalla High School, a 1998 graduate of Southern Wesleyan University, and is currently enrolled at Ogeechee Technical College in the Mortuary Science Program.

    Donnie is the son of David and Shelby Wilbanks Richey of Walhalla. He is married to Tammy Payne Richey, and they have two children, Sydney and Preston. Donnie is a member of Open Door Baptist Church and sings in the church choir. Donnie enjoys cooking and spending time with his family.

  • Mrs. Anna Vissage Sanders

    Mrs. Anna Vissage Sanders Business Office Manager

    Anna Sanders has been with Davenport Funeral Home since August 2015, and is our Business Office Manager and is also a certified crematory operator.

    Anna grew up in Mountain Rest, SC now lives in Walhalla with her husband, Cody and their son, Ridge. She graduated from Tri-County Technical College with an Associate Degree in Business Management. She is the daughter of Mark and Jody Vissage.

  • Mrs. Bridget Marie Harvey

    Mrs. Bridget Marie Harvey Administrative Assistant

    Bridget joined the Davenport Funeral Home family in May of 2021 following a career in the medical profession. She attended Tri-County Technical College.
    Bridget grew up in Westminster and now lives in Walhalla with her husband, Colby Harvey. She is the daughter of Gwen Thompson and the late Danny Holbrooks. Bridget enjoys playing the guitar and the bass in her family's band, "The Cobb Family" and as a part of the praise team, "Returning Praise" at church. She is a member of Return Baptist Church. Her hobbies include watching Clemson football, hunting, fishing, camping, and riding the SXS with her husband.

    Kate started working at Davenport Funeral Home in June of 2020. She is currently a full time student at Tri-County Technical College and works part time in the front office at the funeral home. Kate enjoys hunting, fishing and cooking. Her family owns Wilson's Processing.

    Rev. Ray Barnwell Funeral Director's Assistant and Crematory Operator

    Ray worked for Davenport Funeral Home in the 70's and has recently returned to Davenport Funeral Home in 2013. He is married to Sue Duke Barnwell and is the Pastor at Mountain View Wesleyan Church. He is the father of two children and has 3 grandchildren. Ray enjoys entertaining family and church groups with his Gospel Magic.

  • Steve Stancil

    Steve Stancil Funeral Director's Assistant

    Mr. Stancil was born on July 13, 1952, and is the oldest son of Doyle and Rilla Stancil. He graduated from Walhalla High School in 1970, and was a member of the Walhalla High School Marching Band for six years. He has been happily married to his wife, Anita Holden, since June of 1979. Mr. Stancil is a member of Walhalla First Baptist Church, where he serves as a Deacon, Sunday School Director and is chairman of the Budget and Finance Commission. Mr. Stancil is currently serving as the Chaplain of the Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #92 in Walhalla. He has been an avid and devoted Clemson Tiger Football fan since 1977. Before coming to Davenport Funeral Home in 2014, Mr. Stancil worked forty-one years in the retail grocery industry with both Winn Dixie and Ingles.
